Mass Meeting May 3, 2025

Local 290 had a successful mass meeting on Saturday, May 3rd. Issues experienced in various locations such as revenue, stations, and surface transportation were discussed and will be brought to the attention of upper management so they can be rectifed for our members. Thanks to those who took the time to come to this meeting and to express what is important to you.

Mass Meeting/Holiday Party December 9th

TWU Local 290 was recognized by the International for our 50th Anniversary.
Willie Brown presented a plaque at the Mass Meeting to commemorate this milestone.

Congratulations to Control Center Manager and Local 290 Member Kim Scott on her Retirement

On Saturday, March 23, 2019 Local 290 held a mass meeting. The union addressed several major topics including pay rates, pay parity, seniority, and maintenance managers’ picking rights.

On August 23, 24, and 25, 2017, your Executive Board attended an Executive Board Training Seminar, along with TWU Local 700, conducted by TWU International Vice President Carl Martin and International Representative Theotis James.

This training was just another step in our Local’s commitment to being more educated and ready to serve our members with the quality representation that they deserve.
