Winfred Hoffman

Winfred Hoffman is a native of Philadelphia.  Mr. Hoffman started out as a SEPTA bus operator, thereafter he was promoted to a Quality Control Inspector, and later merged with the Revenue Department as a Quality Control Inspector and Revenue Attendant.  Subsequently he was cross-trained as a Controller, Dispatcher, and Street Supervisor.  He now proudly works as a Transportation Manager.  His work ethic as a Transportation Manager is nothing short of notable.  His professional accolades while at SEPTA have earned him numerous customer service awards, such as the STAR award.  In addition, more recently, he has been awarded a certificate of merit for 30 years of service.

In his spare time he enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, working on classic cars, and spending time with his family.  Winfred Hoffman is a firm believer in the quote, “When you live for a strong purpose, hard work isn’t an option, it’s a necessity.”  His dedication to the transportation profession stays strong.  As of April 2016, Mr. Hoffman was nominated to assume the responsibility of President of Local 290 Transportation Workers Union of American, AFL-CIO.
